Privacy Policy — seelect for Sellers
Effective date: July 17, 2026
This policy explains how Igor Boliaev IE (Individual Entrepreneur, Republic of Armenia) ("seelect", "we", "us") handles data for seelect for Sellers — the paid subscription that merchants use to add an AR "Try it on" button to their store. It covers you, the merchant, and the data we process to run the Service.
It is separate from the consumer app Privacy Policy, which explains how the seelect iOS app handles data for shoppers. The short version of that policy still applies to your shoppers: the try-on runs entirely on the shopper's iPhone, and we don't upload, record, or store their camera feed, photos, or any biometric template.
The short version
- We collect the business account data you give us — business/store name, contact email, store URL — to provide the Service.
- Payment and billing data is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We don't store your full card details.
- We collect aggregate, pseudonymous usage analytics on how the try-on performs for your store (e.g. try-on launches). We don't receive your shoppers' names, emails, or camera data.
- We use processors (Paddle, hosting/database, analytics) to run the Service. We don't sell your data.
1. Data we process
a) Account & contact data. Business/store name, contact name and email, store URL, and the settings and content you configure for your try-on. Used to create and operate your account, set up the try-on, and communicate with you.
b) Billing data — via Paddle. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details and billing/tax information under Paddle's privacy policy. We receive from Paddle the information needed to manage your subscription — such as your subscription status, plan, billing country, the last four digits/type of card, and invoices — but not your full card number.
c) Try-on usage analytics. We collect aggregate, pseudonymous metrics about how the try-on performs on your storefront (for example, how many times "Try it on" is launched, and which shades). These are used to operate the Service, show you performance in your dashboard, and improve the product. This does not include your shoppers' names, emails, precise location, or any camera/biometric data — the shopper's try-on is processed on their own device.
d) Support & communications. If you email us or submit the seller application form, we receive your message, email address, and any store details you include.
2. What we do NOT collect
Your shoppers' camera frames, photos, or biometric templates (these never leave the shopper's device); your full payment-card number (held by Paddle); and we do not build advertising profiles or sell data.
3. How we use data
To: create and operate your account and the try-on; process your subscription (via Paddle); provide analytics and support; secure and improve the Service; send service and billing communications; and comply with legal obligations. Our legal bases (where GDPR applies) are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, your consent where required, and compliance with law.
4. Sharing & processors
We share data only with the providers that make the Service work:
- Paddle — payments, invoicing, tax, and Merchant-of-Record services.
- Hosting & database providers — to store account data and run the Service.
- Analytics providers — aggregate, pseudonymous usage analytics.
Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside yours, including the EU/EEA and the United States, under appropriate safeguards. By using the Service you understand this processing may occur internationally.
6. Retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Aggregate analytics are retained under our providers' standard settings. Support emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request.
7. Your rights
Depending on where your business and its representatives are located (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port the personal data associated with your account, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@seelect.io. For payment data held by Paddle, you can also contact Paddle. EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
8. Security
We rely on reputable providers (including Paddle for payments) and apply reasonable measures to protect account data. No system is perfectly secure, but because your shoppers' camera and biometric data are processed on-device and your full card data is held by Paddle, there is no server-side copy of that most-sensitive data with us to breach.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll revise the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, notify you by email and/or in the dashboard.
